Antarctica Short Program: The Fragile Continent
|
| This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the coldest, windiest, driest, highest, quietest, most remote, and least understood continent on Earth. You will spend 10 days aboard an expedition cruise ship to the Antarctic Peninsula, with the chance to see vast glaciers flowing into the sea, penguin colonies, whales and orcas, and beautifully sculpted icebergs. | Known as the Sunshine State, Queensland is home to lush green rainforests, golden beaches, the remote Outback, and the spectacular marine diversity of the Great Barrier Reef. Our short programs are based from either Brisbane or Cairns. Both trips include a 2-week study tour that includes kayaking, snorkeling and/or diving on the Great Barrier Reef, hiking and bird watching in the tropical rainforest, and experiencing Aboriginal culture and wildlife of the Outback. Fiji Short Program: Humans and the Environment

| Get ready for the stunning white sand beaches, colorful and bustling towns, coral islets, rugged mountains and tropical waterfalls, remote villages, and ancient archeological sites of the Fiji Islands. Our program spends 3 days at the University of the South Pacific in the capital city of Suva, followed by a 5-day field study which includes several days exploring the pristine coral reefs of the Yasawa offshore islands and visits to traditional Fijian villages. | Students meet with and learn from pioneers in game capture and those actively involved in the field of wildlife veterinary science on a day-to-day basis. The program includes a Capture and Care Course where students participate in actual game capture operations.
