Biography
Originally
from Virginia, Laura received her undergraduate degree in Biology and
Anthropology from Oberlin College, before heading to New Zealand in 1996 on a
Fulbright scholarship. In New Zealand, she received her MSc in Plant Ecology
and PhD in Science Communication from the University of Canterbury. As one of
the founders of AUIP, Laura has worked with thousands of students on study
abroad programs. Her interests in natural history, travel and communication are
a natural fit for AUIP.
